Hot Chelle Rae Headlines Little Black Dress Party

Hot Chelle Rae

The annual Electric 94.9 Little Black Dress Party moves to The Battery this year with a headlining performance by Pop band Hot Chelle Rae.  Andy Grammer, Havana Brown, Shontelle and Jaicko have performed at this annual event in recent years.

The night of dinner, drinks and dancing kicks off on Thursday, May 2nd at 7:00 pm.  Hot Chelle Rae takes the stage at 9:15.  Door prizes will be provided by the Mall at Johnson City and Sun Tan City.  Keep up with the latest details on the event by listening to Electric 94.9, visiting their website, or RSVP to the event on Facebook.

Hot Chelle Rae hit it big in 2011 with the release of their second studio album and the single "Tonight, Tonight."  The song sold over two million copies, going double platinum in the U.S.  It was followed up by "I Like It Like That" and "Honestly."

The band originally formed in 2005 in Nashville, Tennessee.  Many members have ties to the Nashville country music scene, including guitarist Nash Overstreet, the son of singer-songwriter Paul Overstreet.  In 2007, they played the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, and opened a sold out tour for Lil Jon.  They signed with Jive Records in 2008 and released "Lovesick Electric," their first studio album.

The band released "Hung Up," the first single from their upcoming third album in January of 2013.
